Seven Eden - Your One-stop Beauty & Wellness Centre

What is the difference between a medical spa like Seven Eden and a regular one?
A medical spa is run by a licensed doctor and he is available on the premises to recommend the best procedure suited to you, choose the best equipment and oversee the procedure being performed. There is also a team of qualified aesthetic nurses who are properly trained to assist the doctor. Seven Eden Aesthetic Centre (SEAC) is a fully licensed medical clinic under the complete regulatory control of the Ministry of Health, Singapore, which operates with a spa-like environment, completely different from most medical clinics.
Are the equipment used in a medical spa similar to a beauty spa? I see beauty spa advertisements which promote similar slimming and antiaging treatments using Radiofrequency (Rf) and lasers as medical spas.
Beauty spas are not run by doctors and the equipment they use are generally beauticiangrade equipment with simple settings or with low power as they are usually operated by beauticians who are not trained as qualified nurses. The results obtained are therefore limited. Some beauty spas do hire doctors to work on-premise. This will improve the quality of the results with better medical grade equipment. However, the doctor's tenure there is often transitory and the best results can only be obtained when the aesthetic doctor actually owns or runs the clinic so that he is always available to make important decisions regarding treatment and equipment used, which is the case for SEAC.
What kind of treatments can I expect in your medical spa?
Our non-invasive treatments are optimised to produce quick and effective results with limited downtime, little skin injury and with minimal discomfort. SEAC specialises in outpatient body re-shaping, cellulite and fat reduction, noninvasive skin texture improvement, tightening and contouring, and facial rejuvenation with Botox, dermal fillers and lasers.
How can you assure me that I will get results?
According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, non-invasive procedures in 2004 increased 51% from 2003. Laser skin resurfacing is up 363%, filler injections up 659% and cellulite treatments up 193%. The increasing popularity of these treatments confirm that they work. People prefer such non-invasive procedures over invasive plastic operations.
I lead a very active lifestyle and cannot afford any recovery time. No matter how hard I exercise, I cannot reduce my "lovehandles" or bring my waistline down. How can I enhance my waistline without any downtime?
You cannot choose where to lose your fat with exercise but you can now achieve good results with modern aesthetic medical help. There has been a revolution in the ability for doctors to harness modern technology to disrupt and destroy fat cells in the areas which you want to reduce. The plethora of new machines to reshape and re-sculpt your body are multiplying exponentially, with each generation improving in speed, ease of use, quality and efficacy. Much more powerful and effective than those offered at slimming centres, these new machines require the supervision of a medical doctor to optimise results.
What sort of downtime are we talking about?
There is no downtime. Just spend two to three hours in Seven Eden Aesthetic Centre and your waistline can be reduced by one jean size (two to three centimetres).
My skin is very wrinkled and loose after childbirth and weight loss - what can be done to help? No amount of sit-ups or gym sessions seem to improve this.
Exercise alone cannot improve the condition of the skin because it has been over-stretched and collagen has been lost. Radio-Frequency skin tightening is extremely effective in tightening the skin and improving the condition of the skin. The gold standard is a device called Thermage which delivers the highest amount of heat to stimulate growth and tightening of the skin without side effects. Results are not only seen immediately, but there is also long term improvement seen over four to six months in terms of skin tightening and improved skin quality.
How do I maintain my looks with noninvasive aesthetic treatments?
The extra years of wrinkles and facial pigmentation resulting from a youth mis-spent on over-indulgence of sun and smoke, can now be erased with great efficacy and minimal downtime with non-invasive anti-aging treatments like laser facial rejuvenation, chemical peels, Botox, dermal fillers, and noninvasive face lifting (Thermage).
What can I do on a daily basis to keep healthy and stay youthful? What lifestyle modifications can help me maintain my looks, and live longer and healthier?
Traditional wisdom extols that one avoids tobacco, over-indulgence in food and drink, and staying away from the sun. Being overweight and getting diabetes will not only cause you a whole host of health problems, but will surely reduce your quality of life. Premature aging with tobacco, excessive sunlight and unhealthy diets are well established to advance aging, and will make you look many years older. You are what you eat, so make sure you load up on anti-oxidants in the form of multiple servings of fresh fruit and vegetable. Avoid any food from a fast-food restaurant, eat organic and try not to eat or buy anything preserved. Try not to cook food too much, as excessive spices, sauces and oil enhance flavors, but not the nutritional value of the food. At most, use only the grill or steamer to cook. The fresher it is, the better the natural goodness. Salt is a low-cost flavor enhancer which is well known to damage your blood vessels and produce hypertension. Drink more green tea and two to three glasses of alcohol, especially red wine, which is proven to extend life and improve your general well-being.
